Increasing miniaturisation, stricter requirements with regard to long-term reliability of complex electronic components and the correspondingly extended performance features make highest demands of soldering quality. ELSOLD soft solders are therefore produced only from carefully selected virgin-grade base metals.
ELSOLD soft solders cover the entire range of electronic applications: machine solders, high temperature solders, special solders (low-melting alloys, solders for static baths).

ELSOLD alloys comply with DIN EN 29453, DIN EN 61190-1-3 and ELSOLD works standards. All alloys can also be supplied in deoxidised form on request.
Deoxidisation tablets for solder baths with and without lead. Purpose: to reduce dross formation. The liquid solder bath is protected by a very thin phosphorous layer on the surface.
ELSOLD stands for electronic solder, i.e. soft solders in the form of bars and rods, flux-cored solder wires, solid solder wires, solder pastes and ancillary solder materials like deoxidation tablets and fluxes for the electronic and electrical industry. ELSOLD offers the whole range from triangular bars or ingots with suspension eyes via lead-free solder pastes all the way to VOC – free fluxes. The lead-free alloys which are available in great variety all comply with the requirements of ROHS and their impurity levels remain well below the limits set by the applicable standard DIN EN 61190. The purity of the solder alloys, which are used in wave soldering, drag soldering, dip soldering, reflow soldering and vapour phase soldering, is documented in quality certificates according to international standards. In order to reduce dross formation ELSOLD offers deoxidation tablets , both for lead-bearing and leadfree alloys. ELSOLD also supplies low-melting alloys with melting temperatures far below the standard lead-bearing and lead-free alloys like 96.5Sn3Ag0.5Cu, 96.2Sn3.8Ag, 99.3Sn0.7Cu, or 63Sn37Pb. Of course ELSOLD also has a certain range of high-temperature alloys (alloys with a high content of lead which are exempted from RoHS legislation). ELSOLD flux-cored solder wires are available from 0.3 mm diameter up with different flux contents. These wires are made from both lead-bearing and lead-free alloys, with a very wide selection of fluxes which can be based on natural rosin, synthetic resins, organic substances, with varying degrees of activation, with or without halides. Most fluxes are so-called no-clean fluxes. Solid solder wires for selective soldering machines or other applications are available in many lead-bearing and lead free alloys The solder pastes manufactured by ELSOLD under licence from Amtech are made from lead-bearing or lead-free alloys and meet all the stringent requirements of today’s SMT manufacturing processes. The offered also powder types for ultra-fine-pitch applications. The flux chemistries used leave practically no residues on the printed circuit board and guarantee extremely good wettability. Most solder pastes produced by ELSOLD are no-clean pastes with good wetting behaviour over a wide temperature range, good slump characteristics, and a very good tackiness for long stencil life. Solvent washable RMA pastes are also available from ELSOLD. A synthetic no-clean solder paste with long storability a room temperature rounds of the product range Metal content and viscosity can be adjusted to the customer requirements. ELSOLD fluxes for lead-bearing and lead-free solder processes, for all commercially available PCB surfaces are being subdivided in 5 groups: rosin-based fluxes, halide-free rosin-based fluxes on solvent basis, rosin-free and halide-free fluxes on solvent basis, water-based VOC-free halide-free fluxes, and waterwashable biodegradable fluxes. Beside short delivery times ELSOLD offers to analyse samples sent in by the customers to check the impurity level of the solder. Our application support group is always pleased to help customers in their effort to migrate from a lead-bearing to a lead-free process. We take back unusable solder and provide special containers for collecting an accumulating old material.
